New DAAS President & Vice President Appointed

DAAS members will be aware that our President, Michael Knowles, has been unable to attend recent weekend events due to illness, and we know Michael and Linda really enjoy these weekends and meeting everyone. They feel at the moment it would be sensible for Michael to stand down as President. We are very grateful to Michael and Linda for all the support they have given us, and the many occasions they have given their time to attend our events. We are pleased to say that Michael and Linda will remain members of the society.

It is therefore with great pleasure that we can announce that Jeffrey Holland has agreed to step up and become our President from 1 February 2026.

Jeffrey has, for many years, been a great supporter of the society, coming to more events that either of us care to remember. As many of you will know Jeffrey has that rare achievement of starring in every Croft & Perry sitcom, including the 1975/76 stage show. So thank you Jeffrey!

More great news. Paul and I thought long and hard about the Vice President’s position and we wanted to maintain continuity to the origins of the society, and in what better way could we do that than ask the son of the man who started the whole thing off.
We are delighted that Jonathan Pertwee has agreed to become Vice President and therefore maintain the link that Bill Pertwee set up in 1993.

We sure everyone will welcome both Jeffrey and Jonathan in these roles.
